John H. Davis was a founding partner of DAVIS SETTLEMENT PARTNERS, a former experienced litigating attorney, practicing since 1968 in areas of personal injury, product liability, family and probate, certified as a mediator by the Attorney-Mediators Institute since 1989 and concluded over two thousand mediations. He served on the State Bar of Texas Grievance committee District 10 as Committee and Panel Chair, 1998-2004. A. Blakeney Kurad joined Davis Settlement Partners as an Associate in December 2016. Prior to joining the firm, Blakeney worked in various capacities at the Alumni Association of The University of Texas at Austin, including Vice President of Engagement and Scholarships. In this role, she oversaw the administration of the scholarship program and the support of 130 chapters and networks around the globe.
Blakeney earned a B.B.A. in Marketing from The University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. from St. Mary’s School of Law in San Antonio. Blakeney practiced law in California and in Texas. She is currently licensed to practice law in Texas and is licensed in Life and Health by the Texas Department of Insurance. She is a member of Texas Trial Lawyers Association and Capital Area Trial Lawyers Association. She is an active volunteer in the Parents’ Association of St. Andrew’s Episcopal School. Blakeney resides in Austin, Texas with her husband, Stephen and her two boys, Carson and Brady.
